Thoroughly enjoyed this book! Kindle Customer2016-09-27 Wonderful book Have read all 3 books and can't wait for another. Bookworm2016-04-08 What a great book! I couldn't put this book down! From the very beginning I liked the historical setting of the roaring twenties and the characters, well all but the main character, Bridey. The author does a great job in dialogue and creating a woman you love to hate while at the same time, you understand and even pity her. That's the market of a wonderful, well developed main character! The evil that is born in the earlier time period, in the death and deception of the Crawley family, lingers and resides in the house over the years. The sense of foreboding when the three modern day characters move in had me on the edge of my seat. The eerie appearance of the twin girls and the prevailing evil of Bridey, in contrast to the innocence of the little girl, Sarah and her mother and grandmother was Hitchcock-like. I would recommend this book!
